We Require all guests to be double Vaccinated and have vaccination certificate

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) is affecting many in the travel and hospitality community. During this uncertain and difficult time, we feel that it is important to reassure our guests, both domestic and international, that we are doing everything possible to meet your needs.

Our Location

For those that prefer a more calm and tranquil location yet still within easy reach of everything that Rio has to offer, Casa Verde is the perfect place, located within Tijuca Forest, a tropical forest in the heart of Rio, and with a great view of the local beach and nearby islands and the Atlantic ocean.

Casa Verde does not have neighbours to the side or behind the property, so isolation from others is guaranteed, especially during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Even though we are in the forest, getting around could not be easier. Taxis / Uber arrive within a few minutes, public transport stops directly outside and a walk downhill to the nearest beach only takes 20/25 minutes.

 

Occupancy restrictions

Whilst the virus is still active, we will keep our occupancy level at, no more, than 50%. This will enable us to provide adequate distance between occupied rooms and ensure that guests can feel confident they are achieving their social distancing needs.

 

Check-in times

Our Check-in times will remain the same, 14:00- 22:30. We ask that guests advise us of their expected arrival time, this will allow us to ensure we are available to receive you and to ensure all hygiene measure are in place.

 

Entry system

Please use the intercom to gain entry at check-in. The intercom is only used for new arrivals and will be disinfected daily. Alternatively, you can contact us using your cell phone to advise us once you arrive.

 

Masks

Whilst the virus is still active, we ask that all guest use face masks (covering both the mouth and nose) when passing through public spaces.

 

Room hygiene

Room hygiene is always important, even more so during this time. Guest rooms will be cleaned using either a chlorine / alcohol-based cleaning product and other quality disinfectants on all hard surfaces. Special attention will be given to areas that are touched regularly, such as doorknobs, drawer pulls, the toilet flush lever, faucet handles, remote controls, and light switches.

All bed linen, including pillows and mattress covers will be laundered prior to each guest arrival. Bath and Hand towels and are provided for each guest and will be changed daily.

 

In rooms Cleaning products

Cleaning products and disposable cloths will be provided in the guest rooms to assist guest in maintaining the hygiene of their room. Soap and Hand sanitiser will also be available.

 

Alcohol gel and sanitizer’s

Hand Sanitizer gel will be available at the main door of the house and in the breakfast area. Guests should also remember to bring their own as well.

 

Social distancing in public areas

All guests will be asked to maintain a minimum of 2 meters from other guests and staff (Stuart & Mauricio).

All guest rooms have televisions, access to Wi-Fi and individual veranda areas. We ask that all guests use the facilities provided in their rooms to minimise the time spent in public areas.

 

Pool

Guests can use the pool. We ask that all guests maintain a minimum of 2 meters from other guests. Clean disinfected towels are available for guests use. After use towels should be placed in the bin provided to ensure towels are not re-used.

 

Breakfast

All guests will be asked to maintain a minimum of 2 meters from other guests. Guest should avoid sharing tables with other guests to maintain the minimum safe social distance of 2 meters. A maximum of 2 people should be at the buffet table at any one time.

 

Keys

Keys will be provided at check in. Keys will have been sterilised and place in a plastic bag prior to issuing to guests.

 

Staffing and Room servicing

The only staff at Casa Verde are your host’s Stuart & Mauricio, so you can rest assured that you will know who is cleaning your room and that you will have confidence the we are doing our best to provide a safe and hygienic home for your stay with us.

We have a cleaning lady that visits once per week; however, she does not enter occupied guest rooms.
